Promote the Catholic Social Teaching of Dignity of work and the rights of workers to all employees of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux. The office provides indirect services to the people of the Church of the Diocese by providing adequate benefit programs for workers and their families through service, communication, and education and also, by building relationships with all employees and administrators to provide service and address the needs promoting dignity and advance the well being of all.

Kate Theriot

Hello, my name is Kate Theriot. Currently I am the Director for the Office of Human Resources and have been employed by the Diocese since 1978. My bachelor's degree is from Loyola in liberal studies with a minor in women's studies and a master's degree in pastoral studies also from Loyola. 

As director for the office I deal with personnel issues within the parishes and schools; work with the parishes to implement a personnel administrative system, work in collaboration with the Bishop's Cabinet to set policies, and administrator for all of the benefit programs of the Diocese and oversight and supervisory responsibilities for the Human Resources office.

Melissa Ranson Robertson

Hi, my name is Melissa Ranson Robertson. I am the Assistant Director for the Office of Human Resources and have been employed by the Diocese since the year 2000. I received a bachelor of science degree in human resource management from Nicholls State University.

My main office duties include: training, assisting with benefits management, coordinating wellness program, retired & active priests claims advocate, and continuing education in schools and parishes.

Lynne Barrilleaux

Hi, my name is Lynne Barrilleaux. I have been employed with the Diocese since July of 1997. Currently I am the Administrative Assistant for the Office of Human Resources.

My duties include: maintenance of the plan benefit binders for all diocesan employees, assist with the scheduling of programs/meetings, maintenance of the HR website, answering general employee questions concerning benefits and general clerical duites of the office.
