Office of Catholic Schools

Mission Statement
The Catholic Schools Office of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux serves the Catholic school administrators of the Diocese in their efforts to further the Mission and Vision of the Diocese in the respective Catholic schools. Each Catholic school is an evangelizing, educational community committed to academic excellence, while fostering the intellectual development of students and faculty.
The Catholic school serves the teaching ministry of the Church as it provides quality spiritual education and formation which develops communities of faith in an atmosphere for learning that is safe, disciplined and caring.
The Catholic Schools Office guarantees opportunities for ongoing spiritual formation for the school faculties, staff and leadership. We champion superior standards of academic excellence with a commitment to teach an integrated curriculum rooted in Gospel values and Catholic teachings. The Catholic school creates a supportive and challenging climate which affirms the dignity of all persons within the school community.
The Catholic school strives to be a unique, faith-centered community which integrates thinking and believing, encourages intellectual growth, nurtures faith and inspires action. We will welcome and support a diverse cultural and economic population as a hallmark of our Catholic identity.
