MISSION STATEMENT

The Diocese of Houma Thibodaux Conference Office exists to evangelize and renew people primarily through providing a variety of events for people.  All of these events are centered around the sacraments which facilitate the experience of the love of the Father, a personal relationship with Jesus, and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. 

 

VISION STATEMENT                                                                                                                  Inviting people into a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit through a call to embrace the heart and mission of the Church.

 

 

 

ACCOMPLISHING OUR TASKS

  • Two Day conferences for men and women (one per year for each group)
  • One Day Mini Conferences for men and women (one per year per group)
  • Four monthly gatherings for women each year (week-night, two hours)
  • Four monthly gatherings for men each year(week-night, two hours)
  • Weekend Steubenville on the Bayou Youth Conference
  • One Day Mini Conference for Couples
  • Providing a bookstore and resource table at every event so that persons in attendance can continue the journey after the event has ended
  • Building a community of volunteers by providing opportunities to serve at every event

  • A time of Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament
  • The Celebration of the Holy Mass

  • A Call to the Conversion of Hearts
  • A Call to a deeper commitment to the Church
  • An Awareness of the Social Justice Element of the Church and resources that provide opportunity to become involved?
  • Praying the Rosary and encouraging participants to reverence the Blessed Mother
