 Mission Statement

Our work is based on our faith in a God of mercy and justice and the
example of Jesus Christ.

We believe that every person has a right to a home at an affordable
cost in a setting that safeguards human dignity.

As a program sponsored by the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, we commit
ourselves and our resources to home ownership for low and moderate income families
in Terrebonne, Lafourche, East St. Mary, Grand Isle and other areas of the Diocese.

To realize our mission, we will:

* Assist low income families to become first time homebuyers through counseling,
education, financing and advocacy.

* Promote and participate in the construction of affordable housing that is resource
efficient and minimizes the impact on the environment while providing energy
efficient homes that will keep total housing costs as low as possible.

* Assist the poorest and most vulnerable communities to organize and assess their housing
options for the future.
