This dinner is open to Married Couple’s interested in finding out more about Marriage Preparation Lead Couple Ministry or Parish FOCCUS Couple Ministry. RSVP to attend this dinner is required by February 26.

Marriage Preparation Lead Couple Ministry — This ministry is for married couples interested in assisting engaged couples with marriage preparation. Lead Couples leave a lasting impression with the engaged by using their experience, training and faith to strengthen marriages. This ministry doesn’t strive on a “perfect” marriage, but a healthy marriage with a strong commitment to continued growth in your relationship. We ask our lead couples to volunteer to work at least two Marriage Preps each year. You will receive all of the materials and training needed to lead small group activities/discussions.
This ministry currently thrives with a community of 20 couples throughout our diocese who are excited to welcome more married couples into this growing ministry.
Parish FOCCUS Couple Ministry — This ministry provides married couples, priests and deacons with the knowledge to administer the FOCCUS instrument and discuss specific topics with an engaged couple from your church parish. As a FOCCUS facilitator, you will guide the engaged couples assigned to you from your parish. If you would like to assist your church parish with this ministry, please call your church parish. FOCCUS Training Dates: Part 1/Thursday, April 15, 2010, Part 2/Thursday, April 22, 2010. Meeting times are 5:30pm—8:30pm. Registration required to attend the FOCCUS training.
