FOCCUS
Facilitating Open Couple Communication, Understanding and Study
This instrument is designed to help couples learn more about themselves, and encourages open discussion and communication. It is a tool designed to help couples name and work through issues before marriage.
THE FOCCUS TRAINING PROGRAM
* Will provide married couples with the knowledge to administer the FOCCUS tool and discuss specific topics with an engaged couple from your church parish.
* As a FOCCUS facilitator, you will guide the engaged couples assigned to you from your parish. It can be administered to one couple or a group of couples, but it is usually best to meet with one couple at a time.
FOCCUS was developed in 1985 by three marriage and family counselors. It is a self-diagnostic inventory designed to help couples learn more about themselves and their unique relationship.

Marriage Preparation Lead Couple Training
This program is for married couples interested in assisting engaged couples with marriage preparation. Our lead couples are trained to assist the engaged couples during our Marriage Prep days. We ask our lead couples to volunteer to work at least two Marriage Prep dates during the year. Our lead couples will receive all of the needed materials to lead small group activities/discussions.
