Married Couple's Date Night

In our fast paced, high-tech society, many times married couples have difficulty finding time to spend together, and they often neglect this area of their lives because of other commitments. A couple’s marriage is the foundation of their family.

These seminars are for married couples interested in spending some quality time together enriching their marriage and enhancing their faith. The Office of Family Ministries provides “Date Nights” which include a romantic supper for married couples and an enlightening presentation designed to enrich your marriage, strengthen your faith and rekindle your spirit. “Date Nights” are scheduled in a church parish every Spring, Summer and Fall.

 Worldwide Marriage Encounter

Renewing Marriages, Families & the Church!

The emphasis of the Marriage Encounter weekend is on the communication between husbands and wives. The weekend provides a conducive environment for couples to spend together, away from the distractions and tensions of every day life, while encouraging them to focus on each other and their relationship.

It’s not a retreat, marriage clinic, group sensitivity or a substitute for counseling. It’s a unique approach aimed at revitalizing marriage.

This is a time for you and your spouse to be alone together, to rediscover each other and together focus on your relationship for an entire weekend. Every marriage deserves that kind of attention!

World Marriage Day

"Love One Another"
This phrase is the comandment given us by Jesus in John 14.
It speaks to us in a simpe but challenging way of how our
Father wishes us to live. Loving one another is a
daily decision - simple, but challenging.

World Marriage Day is celebrated throughout the United States and many foreign countries. It honors husband and wife as head of the family, the basic unit of society. It salutes the beauty of their faithfulness, sacrifice and joy in daily, married life. World Marriage Day is designated to be celebrated each year on the second Sunday in February.

Parishes are encouraged to download the 2010 Worldwide Marriage Encounter package to help with planning.
