Mercy Crew is for those between 18 and 26 years of age. Mercy Crew is a 6-day young adult’s mission of service beginning with a retreat on the Tuesday and Wednesday prior to the conference weekend. The crew will pray and worship together and share their experiences and faith before preparing the conference site for the arrival of 3000+ teens. Mercy Crew will provide “hands on” work throughout the weekend in various capacities to serve the needs of the youth and conference. Mercy Crew is a great way to connect with other young adults who share your faith and desire to remain an involved adult within the Church through living the example. All Mercy Crew MUST have up-to-date Diocesan Safe Environment Training. Registration is $130 per young adult and includes two T-shirts and all meals & housing Tuesday—Sunday.

Letter from the Conference Coordinator to Mercy Crew
Dear Mercy Crew Staff and Mercy Crew Members,
We are so excited about the awesome response we have seen in the past regarding the number of people who have participated in Mercy Crew. In 2011 we had 65 young adults and fully expect to grow even more this year. Please be sure to “like” the Mercy Crew Facebook page and keep up with the private Mercy Crew Group on Facebook to get updates and information.
Each of you will play a different role during the week but one thing is sure; all of you will be servants. You will serve in a variety of way; from helping to prayer a meal for your team members to setting up chairs at the convention center.
Why is there a cost for Mercy Crew?
The fee that is asked of each of you is used to defray the costs of food, housing, t-shirts, special speakers, and other things that are necessary for hosting a large group of young adults for six days. The cost per person for hosting Mercy Crew is actually higher than the income of fees collected; the Conference itself pays for the additional costs.
How can a young adult pay the registration fee?
Ask for help. Tell people what you are doing an ask them to help you. Each of you are involved in a Church parish. Some of you are affiliated with more than one parish for various reasons. Parishioners care about the young people of the Church. They want to know that there are people like yourselves who desire to serve the Lord. Sharing the information about the conference, Mercy Crew, and your involvement will bring joy to many people. You will bless them by giving them the opportunity to help you.
How do I ask for financial help?
I have written a letter on Mercy Crew letterhead. You can make as many copies as you need. If possible, read the letter from the pulpit at mass, put it in the bulletin, give a copy to the leaders of all of the organizations in the Church, and share the letter with family and friends. God is Faithful and He will ensure that you have what you need.
Your responsibility:
Upon returning from your Mercy Crew experience, write a letter and send a copy to every person, organization that helped you financially or any other way (i.e. prayer intercession). Enclose a picture, tell about your experience, and thank them. (Also keep in mind, should you receive additional funding of your registration fee, the money will be put towards another Mercy Crew participant and/or a Conference participant).
We thank you for your willingness to serve and, again, we are truly excited to have so many of you planning to attend this summer. Please do hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or need help.
God Bless,
